Project Overview
I was asked by IBM's internal design consultancy, The Garage, to help build, train, and launch an internal design and innovation practice at a Fortune 125 Energy Company.
As the Garage's first ever design business partner, I worked as 1 of 8 lead designers to complete priority product design work, mentored new designers, and helped train existing teams in Human Centered Design and Enterprise Design Thinking techniques.

Project Overview
A Fortune 125 energy company, hired IBM's internal design consultancy, The Garage, to help build, train, and launch an internal design and innovation practice. IBM asked me to join as one of the project's eight lead designers (and as the Garage's first design business partner).
Over 13 months I completed a number of projects, proving the value of design and mentoring new hires in Human Centered Design and Enterprise Design Thinking.

The client's design practice is now self-sustaining with a constant influx of work. Human-centered design has been embedded as an iterative process and teams are implementing IBM Enterprise Design Thinking in the pursuit of new products/services.
Personal Project Outcomes
Led and mentored two product teams through multiple design sprints, field research, prototyping, and building stakeholder support, resulting in $3.5 million in department savings and 2 new launched products
Shipped two priority product design projects to improve outage and emergency response/reporting for 1,000+ employees and benefiting over 1 million customers.
Mentored multiple new design strategy hires - leading, supervising, and co-facilitating 20 design and strategy workshops
Expanded billable client offerings by 200% for our agency and became certified IBM Design Thinking Coach
